HOW?

Fly fishing is the most popular method of hooking trout - spinning gear with artificial lures. Wet and dry fly fishing is available throughout the season.

Boats are not essential on lakes and streams. Trout can be caught from the shore (they often move into the shallows). Drift-spinning and trolling is practised on large lakes.

EQUIPMENT can be HIRED - services are available throughout Tasmania for all necessary fishing gear. This includes useful items such as waders, fly vests, fly boxes and fly floatants.

WHERE?

Our major waterways are public fisheries (don°t forget you will need an inland angling licence).
